Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
MT Finance Group Limited
For the Financial Year Ending 2024
At M T Finance Group Limited, we are committed to conducting our business ethically and responsibly. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking, and we are dedicated to ensuring that there is no place for these practices within our operations or supply chains.
As a specialist property finance lender, we recognise our responsibility to respect human rights and uphold the principles set out in the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We are committed to transparency in our business practices and take proactive steps to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking.
Our Business and Supply Chains
M T Finance provides both regulated and non-regulated property finance solutions through its group companies. While the financial services sector is generally considered low-risk for modern slavery, we understand that certain elements of our supply chain—such as facilities management, technology providers, and professional services—may present heightened risks.
We work with trusted partners, suppliers, and professional service providers who share our commitment to ethical business conduct.
Our Policies and Commitments
M T Finance Group has established comprehensive standards designed to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chains. Our core principles include:
- Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy: Outlines our zero-tolerance approach and steps to identify and prevent modern slavery.
- Supplier Code of Conduct: Communicates our expectations for ethical behaviour across our supply chain.
- Whistleblowing Policy: Provides a secure and confidential mechanism for reporting any concerns regarding unethical or illegal practices.
- Recruitment: Ensures fair and legal employment practices, including right-to-work checks, and prohibits forced labour.
Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
We conduct risk assessments and due diligence on our suppliers to ensure compliance with the Modern Slavery Act. Our onboarding processes include contractual obligations for suppliers to adhere to ethical labour practices, and we seek annual confirmations of compliance where necessary.
Training and Awareness
We provide annual training to employees, equipping them with the knowledge to identify and report signs of modern slavery. We also engage with suppliers to promote awareness of modern slavery risks and responsibilities.
Continuous Improvement
MT Finance Group is committed to the ongoing review and improvement of our policies and procedures. In the coming year, we aim to strengthen our supplier due diligence processes and enhance employee training programmes.
